“Inconclusive Investigations Reveal Gbevlo Lartey Owns Sohin Security Company”

A raucous member of the political-pressure group, the Young Patriots, has challenged assertions by National Security Co-ordinator, Lt. Col (Rtd) Larry Gbevlo Lartey, that he does not personally know Solomon Adelaquaye, Sohin Security boss.

Hopeson Adorye finds it outrageous that the country’s security head does not personally know the head of security at one on the major entries into Ghana.

He claims that inconclusive investigations conducted by the Young Patriots point to the fact that Gbevlo Lartey owns the company.

In an interview with Okay fm, Hopeson Adorye debunked claims by the Airport Board and the National Security that Adelaquaye’s outfit provided security at “peripheral” areas, especially the car parks.

“…our investigation shows that Sohin Security are positioned close to the scanners and some of their officers are stationed at KIA Gate 20…from the tarmac…again, Sohin Security’s work extend to Gate 3 which leads to the Catering Section as well as the Cargo Section of the airport;..it is officers from Sohin Security company who man the CCTV camera room…thus it is difficult to believe and accept explanations from the National Security Coordinator,” he said.

He further claimed that there are unconfirmed reports that plans are afoot to bribe some media houses to cease discussions on the arrest of the Sohin Security boss over drug-related offences.

The Young Patriots activist urged Gbevlo Lartey to step aside for investigations to be conducted into the role in the whole saga and warned that the group is prepared to defy orders and demonstrate against the National Security head to drum home the point that President Mahama should stamp his authority if he does not want to be seen as endorsing cocaine business in the country.
