Hair Op No.2 For Rooney

WAYNE Rooney has had a second hair op on his thinning thatch — lasting NINE hours.Balding Roo, 27, had the transplant at a private clinic as a top-up to his 2011 surgery there.

A source said last night: “It was very successful. He’s as pleased as punch with the results and can’t wait to unveil his new look.”

The Man United ace had the procedure at London’s Harley Street Hair Clinic at the weekend. Clinic director Nadeem Uddin Khan confirmed: “He visited us for pre-planned second-stage treatment of his successful transplant. This was scheduled when he began in 2011. It’s standard.

“We’re delighted with the way he’s changed attitudes towards hair transplants.”

His £15,000 procedure two years ago saw doctors take hair from the back of his bonce to replant at the front. The thrilled star said at the time: “I was going bald at 25. Why not? I’m delighted.” The results were so impressive he even arrived at the Euro 2012 championships with a quiff.

His transplant inspired thousands of other balding fellas to head to clinics — with some reporting bookings up 25 per cent.
