Music artiste, Diwari Kelvin Peterside  who started her music career in the United Kingdom a few years ago has expressed her resolve to take the nation’s music scene by storm.

Her upcoming single, ‘Ogun Mi( meaning ‘ medicine’  in Yoruba language) which is already making waves is a blend of soul and R n B music. Diwari hopes to use the single to make an impressive impact on the nation’s music terrain.

A trained lawyer, Diwari who contested on Nigerian Idol last year, and emerged one of the finalists,  described her upcoming single as ‘a departure from the norm.’

According to her, ‘ I wanted to be myself and that’s  why I decided to a do a more mature music. I can do a party music.’  She was called to the Bar while on the show.

Diwari said she passionately believes in chasing after her dreams, adding  ‘With hard work and God’s mercies, you can achieve amazing things.”

While in the United Kingdom, the Opobo, Rivers State born rising singer served as a choir soloist at her Church. ‘ It’s exciting because music has always been my passion. I started singing from childhood.’

Musically, Diwari said, she  was influenced by great artistes such as Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston, Adele, John Legend, Michael Jackson, Onyeka Onwenu, Beyonce and Luther Vandross.

Diwari has performed on the same stage with Nigerian superstar acts including 2face and 9ice at Startrek, a Nigerian Breweries sponsored concert. She has performed at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London. In addition, her craft has taken her to Almere, Netherlands.

Diwari’s electrifying stage presence has gained her recognition among her contemporaries.

According to the management of her record label, Diwari’s latest single will hit the airwaves next week.
