Malik Akowuah to hold meeting with Ashgold over future

Midfielder Malik Akowuah is set for showdown talks with Bashir Hayford to decide his Ashantigold future.
Akowuah’s future at the club has been at the centre of a long-tussle with reports suggesting he is unwilling to extend his contract when it expires at the end of the current campaign.
Media reports have claimed the former Ghana Under-23 enforcer has committed his future to Medeama by signing a two-year deal.
But the miners will not allow the player to leave without a fight as they plan to meet him to discuss his future.
They are hoping to entice him to sign a mouth-watering extension as he is seen an integral part of the Obuasi-based side.
Akowuah’s contract runs out in three months.
