Work for national good – Adwoa Safo urges Ghanaians

Adwoa SafoAdwoa SafoThe Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome/Kwabenya Ms Sarah Adwoa Safo, has asked Ghanaians to  unite and work towards the country’s development irrespective of one’s political inclinations.


The MP made the call when she paid a familiarisation visit to the Ga South Municipal Assembly to formally introduce herself to the staff of the assembly.

She pointed out that some public and civil servants, who were supposed to be apolitical, openly show their political biases in  the discharge of their civic duties, stressing that, what was even more dangerous was when people allowed their political inclinations to affect the delivery of their work. 

Ms Safo intimated that that, attitude would adversely affect the country’s development and advised them to always be guided by the country’s interest.

She told the workers that when individuals portrayed their political biases in the delivery of their work, it was the nation that sufferred and encouraged them to offer their best in order to put the assembly on a higher pedestal.

Ms Safo is currently making a tour of her constituency to learn at first hand the immediate needs and demands of the constituency to enable her fashion out a plan to get them resolved.

The visit had so far taken her to some communities in the constituency including Obaahemaa, Kwabenya, Agboogba,  among others.

At the Dome Market, where the assembly inaugurated the newly constructed structures, the MP, who was the guest speaker, advised the market women to take proper care of the market and should also  ensure that it was properly maintained. 

Ms Safo promised to do  all within her power to  ensure that life became bearable for the market women in the area and donated GH¢ 300 into the coffers of the market women.
