According to a Peacefmonline report, highlife musician Kofi B was attacked by some unknown thugs in Accra late Monday night. The singer was severely beaten for no apparent reason, and as a result he sustained serious injuries all over his body.
The “Afia Donkor” hit maker confirmed the incident stating that he suspects someone is surely behind it even though he didn’t mention any possible suspect. “I don’t understand and I don’t know why someone would do such a terrible thing to me. I still can’t believe it happened because it was like a movie. I’m very surprise”, Kofi B told Peacefmonline.com assuring Ghanaians and his fans that he is currently out of danger.
“I am alright by the grace of God”.
At the time he spoke to Peacefmonline, the singer disclosed that he was strong enough to go to the hospital himself adding that he is presently back home from the hospital catching some rest. Narrating the incident, Kofi B said he had just finished a recording session in a studio located near Dome in Accra and when he approached his car which was packed outside, he realized that about six unidentified men looking like thugs had surrounded his car and immediately pounced on him without any provocation whatsoever from him.
Kofi revealed that all six of them meted out severe beatings on him with each of them hitting him mercilessly at the same time on any part of his body their hands could reach. He said they threw him on the ground several times and kept hitting him even as he was on the floor.
As if that was not enough, they went ahead to smash the side glass of the car destroying his car in the process. According to him they made away with several personal belongings they found in the car including a number of CD packs which happens to be promotional CDs of his new single. .
It still remains unknown who or what might have fueled such brutal attack on the musician who has sustained severe body cuts and bruises. He also complained of severe pains all over his body.
He however added that he has reported the incident to the police to investigate matter. Kofi also emphasized that even though he feels better he would keep going to the hospital until he is fully healed.
