“I think the boys did pretty well, it’s unfortunate they lost to the Ivory Coast in the final, but I must say I’m quite impressed with the team, ” he exclusively revealed to supersport.com.
“Let’s not lose the plot, these championships are for developmental purposes, It’s good to win, but the progress of the lads is more important.”
The Former Lobi Stars coach, who was also an assistant coach of the Golden Eaglets in the 2003 set up, also congratulated the coaching crew and urged them to keep faith with the lads and not disrupt the team spirit with wholesome changes.
“This team will come good at the World Cup, the experience they have garnered at the African championship will put them in a good stead at the World Cup, I believe in them,” Kpakor said.
“I hope the NFF will not tamper with the squad, they have been together for a while and I hope they will be reinforced and well motivated for the bigger stage.”
