Musician Kofi B was on Monday night attacked by unknown thugs, family sources have told local radio station Adom FM.
Sources say he was returning from the studio when six unidentified men attacked him without provocation. They beat him mercilessly and made away with some valuable items in his car.
It is not clear at this point what necessitated the attack.
He is currently on admission at a private hospital in East Legon.
A formal compliant has been lodged with the Police.
