Stakeholders of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District of Akwa Ibom State have passed a vote of no confidence on the senator representing the area in the Senate, Dr. Allyosius Etok, on grounds of alleged poor performance and lack of respect for elders of the area.
The stakeholders have also initiated the process of recall of the senator from the National Assembly.
The decision was reached at a meeting of the senatorial district convened by the Itai Afe Annang, Okuku Pius  Eside and chaired by the senatorial district Chairman, Mr Imo Ibokette, at the Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area council hall.
The stakeholders include past and current National Assembly members, past and current state House of Assembly members, commissioners from the area, past and current council chairmen, members of Peoples Democratic Party executive at all levels, traditional rulers, women and youths.
