Medical doctors in Nigeria have decried poor healthcare services to citizens, saying that the country could not boast of 30 per cent health coverage to the people.
The doctors, under the aegis of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, blamed what they described as “grossly inadequate health coverage” on delay by the Presidency to appoint a substantive head to the National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIS.
Speaking to journalists in Lagos, President of NMA, Dr. Osahon Enabulele, said government had not shown enough commitment to the health of Nigerians.
