Kojo Adu Asare Tells NPP; No Polling Agent Is a ‘Stooge’

Former Member of Parliament for Adentan Constituency, Kojo Adu-Asare has warned the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to describe any polling agent as a ‘stooge’ since they carefully selected them before assigning them to their various polling stations during the 2012 election.

“No polling agent is a stooge. Especially the NPP party they carefully chose their polling agents. I know bank managers who were polling agents; I know high profile professional people; accountants, engineers, and businessmen of high repute who chose to become polling agents for the NPP.

“…We the NDC, we normally go for the grass root people and students. Even in Adentan I can give names of high profile people who were polling agents for the NPP,” he said.

Speaking on an Accra-based Asempa FM, the former MP furiously cautioned the NPP for describing respected polling agents as comedians ‘stooges’.

“For any person in NPP to try and describe such people as stooges just because they don’t believe in must be rubbished. That is not the right thing,” he opined.

He noted that the party’s polling agents were not vigilant enough to protect the votes of their candidate in the various polling stations across the country.
