Job Title: Head Chef
Job Location: Accra
To effectively manage the kitchen team to achieving the highest standard of food production. To control and manage the food cost in line with the budget, source ingredients in accordance with the Company’s sourcing policy and control production and portions in line with agreed specifications.
As a Head Chef your duties would include:
  1. Planning menus
  2. Making sure food is of the right quality
  3. Managing stock
  4. Ordering food from suppliers
  5. Controlling a budget and keeping accurate records
  6. Organising the staff duty rota.
Qualification and Requirements
To be a head chef you should have:
  1. A creative interest in food and cookery
  2. The ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
  3. High standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  4. The ability to organise and plan your own work and that of others
  5. Strong communication skills and leadership skills
  6. The ability to control a budget and work with figures
  7. Stamina with the ability to cope in a hot and busy kitchen
  8. The ability to deal calmly with unexpected situations and crises
