Day 8 of election petition hearing: Rejuvenated Quarshie-Idun grills Bawumia

EC’s lawyer, James Quarshie-Idun

Lawyers for the Electoral Commission are contuing their cross examination of the second petitioner, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, at the on-going election petition hearing today.

Judges at the court had to adjourn the case much earlier than expected last Thursday, after the EC’s lawyer, James Quarshie-Idun complained of fatigue.

The petitioners are asking the court to annul more than four million votes they say were added to President Mahama’s votes as against those of Nana Akufo Addo in the 2012 polls.
