Hearts player Kingston denies beating club’s accountant

Hearts of Oak Midfielder Laryea Kingston has denied assaulting the club’s accountant as reported in the media some months ago.

The Ex Black Stars player who has had his fair share of negative publicity since joining Hearts two seasons ago was reported to have beaten up the club’s accountant after he was told his wages would be withdrawn.

But in an interview with Joy Sports, Laryea Kingston denied the story and stated that nothing like that happened between him and the accountant.

“It’s never true I punched him. We had a game at the Accra stadium, he handed a letter to one of my boys and when I received the letter I questioned him it was not right to bring the letter there but at least he should have called me to his office ,” said Kingston

“I didn’t touch him and those around when he came to me can testify to that.

“Sometimes when issues of such nature come, it’s better to keep mute since what you say could be misquoted. So that’s why I decided not to talk about it until now”.

Laryea Kingston whose contract with Hearts of Oak will expire in June is currently serving an indefinite suspension handed him by the club after the incident.
