Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman has suffered relegation from the German top flight with his Greuther Furth team.
The Cloverleaves confirmed their relegation status on Friday with a 3-2 defeat at Hannover.
Greuther Furth remain bottom of the Bundesliga with 18 points and cannot beat the drop even if they win their remaining three games.
The Bavaria club suffers relegation just within a year of winning promotion to the German top flight.
It now puts the club in a difficult situation as they will be facing a serious challenge to keep hold of their best players now that they are relegated.
Most of their best players including Ghana left-back Abdul Rahma are being courted by several clubs.
Furth will also be looking to raise some funds by selling off some of its stars to strengthen its team in order to regain their top flight status after next season.
It now looks increasingly likely that Baba Rahman would be one of the players to leave Trolli Arena this summer.
The yet-to-be-capped Black Stars player will like to retain his national team call ups by playing regularly with a top flight club in Europe.
Italy club Fiorentina are said to be interested with Schalke also lurking to pounce.
