Governments, Private Sector Asked To Reform African Continent

Governments and the Private Sector have been asked to look for reformative programmes to propel the African Continent to catch up with other developed countries.

They must also adopt social policies to help in the redistribution of wealth to all groups so as to break the chain of social inequality that has engulfed the continent.

The Chair in African Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science, Prof Thandika Mkandawire, said this on the second day of this year’s Aggrey-Fraser-Guggisberg Memorial Lectures in Accra.
