Michael Essien has regained full fitness and named in Real Madrid squad to face Atletico on Saturday night at the Vicente Calderon in the Spanish La Liga.
The on-loan Chelsea player has been out for three weeks after spraining a muscle during a UEFA Champions League match against Galatasaray in the quarter-final stage.
Essien failed to recover in time for last week’s humiliating 4-1 loss at Borussia Dortmund in the semi-final first leg tie.
The versatile player is set to return to his right-back role in the absence of Alvaro Arbeloa who was not named in the 19-man squad.
REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Casillas, Diego Lopez and Adan.
Defenders: Varane, Pepe, Albiol, Carvalho and Nacho.
Midfielders: Xabi Alonso, Essien, Khedira, Ozil, Di Maria, Modric, Callejon and Kaka.
Forwards: Higuain, Benzema and Morata.
