Government Assurance Committee To Begin Public Hearing

Leadership of parliament has tasked members of the Government Assurance Committee to live up to its mandate by ensuring that all promises made by ministers are fulfilled.

The Committee which has been dormant for sometime is expected to start work later this year.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Chairman of the Committee and MP for Ho West, Emmanuel Bedzra, said they have started training members of the Committee to have firsthand information on how best to execute their mandate.

He said the public hearing will be aimed at bringing accountability as well as ensure Parliamentary oversight of the executive.
