Ghana U20 coach Sellas Tetteh surprisingly left out of Chelsea U21 captain Daniel Mills Pappoe out of his preliminary 41-man squad for the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup.

Ghana U20 coach Sellas Tetteh named 15 foreign-based players in his preliminary squad as the Black Satellites begin preparations for June’s World Cup in Turkey.

But 19-year-old powerful center-back was born in Lapaz, a suburb of Accra, was surprisingly overlooked by the former Rwanda coach.

Pappoe has been playing with the Young Blues since age 12 and he is now an inspirational member of the U20 squad.

Pappoe is Chelsea U20′s lead man as they claim back-to-back FA Youth Cup wins after defeating Liverpool 2-1 to clinch a 4-1 Semi-Final aggregate victory and set up a Final meeting with Norwich City.

He also has experience from European competitions as he played with the Chelsea U20 squad in last season’s NextGen Series.

Pappoe is at Chelsea together with 16-year-old Nii Nortei Nortey.
