Dr. Bawumia’s AfDB Appointment Could Be A Prank; It Was On “April Fools Day” – Asiedu Nketia

General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has appealed to Dr. Bawumia to quickly come out and address the issue centering on his opaque appointment with the African Development Bank.

The NDC’s chief scribe was of the view that per reports that have come out of Dr. Bawumia’s appointment, it is clear the NPP’s vice flagbearer has already conceded defeat in the case they have presented before the Supreme Court.

Asiedu Nketia revealed on Okay FM that he finds it intriguing to know that despite appearing in court to testify on alleged irregularities which occurred during the 2012 presidential elections, Dr. Bawumia would make a sudden u-turn to seek greener pastures elsewhere.

“I have heard his own party members criticize him for accepting the job. They see the appointment as a plot to abandon them when things don’t favour them,” he said.

Dr. Bawumia is reported to have grabbed a job as the head of the Uganda Office of the African Development Bank, effective Monday, April 1st, but is entitled to a special leave of absence.

But Asiedu Nketia explained that a lot of questions arise if it is indeed true that Dr. Bawumia received the job as from his employees to head the Uganda Office on 1st April, 2012.

According to him, 1st April is regarded worldwide as “the world’s fool day” and it is really fascinating to know that the 2nd petitioner in the ongoing Supreme Court case received his appointment on such date.

General Mosquito explained further that it could either be a prank or simply put; “Dr. Bawumia’s employees wanted to employ him on world fools day”.

“On the calendar, 1st April means ‘all fool’s day’. You could be told you have won a lottery on 1st April, but when you show up to collect the monies they would tell you it is April fool. if his appointment is April fool, I really don’t know”, he sarcastically said.
