Medeama were brought down to earth by Amidaus Professionals in a 2-1 reverse at the Tema Park on Wednesday.
But the Mauve and Yellows maintained their position on the top of the table with superior goal difference.
Amidaus opened the scoring in the 32nd minute through Patrick Ampah with a fabulous 16-yard strike.
The diminutive figure capitalized on a lack of communication between the central defensive pair of Godfred Rockson and Hudu Yahaya to slot home a pile-driver.
The league leaders kept their composure after going down as they started playing some delectable football.
It didn’t take too long before the pressure yielded dividends as striker Theophilus Anobah slotted home for a cool finish five minutes later.
But the new comers restored their lead in the 42nd minute through Paul Adongo.
Adongo again capitalized on a defensive howler to simply tap the ball into the net with goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe already beaten.
The second half produced many exciting moments with the desperate home side enjoying the lion’s share of possession.
It is fair to say that Amidaus dominated but the visitors kept to a tactical display which failed to produce a positive result on the day.
