Ghana’s top rapper and producer, ElormAdablah, better known by his stage name as EL , is an award winning Ghanaian Rapper and record producer.
He has been recently announced as the new presenter for the BBC Radio 1 xtra ‘Xtra Talent’ show, which will see the artist hijack the airwaves of the popular radio station throughout May 2013.
The hottest rapper, currently with 5 nominations at the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music awards, is set to take over the last hour of DJ Edu’s highly rated show, Destination Africa with Xtra Talent, playing a selection of the hottest Afrobeats.
Just a week after being verified on Twitter, EL becomes the first Ghanaian based artist to be on such a platform to play his favourite Afrobeat tracks and also to interact with his fans in the UK and around the world. Previous talents on the show include UK based Afrobeats artists Fuse ODG, Mista Silva and DJ SefKombo.
E.L will be taking over the show every Sunday night from 0100-0200 BST (12am – 1am GMT). The show will be available to listen again for the next seven days after broadcast on BBC iplayer or via www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra http://www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra where it will be available for 30 days after transmission.
The enterprising young music icon began music during his secondary education and despite the scepticism of close friends and family, EL invested all his funds into building his own recording studio so he could focus on his music career. He developed a musical style fusing R&B, hip-hop and alternative genres.
