Rlg to launch new device soon

Indigeneous computer and mobile phone manufacturing giant, rlg, is about to release another device onto the market months after making headlines with its Uhuru device.

The new device, which will be launched soon, is expected to be a market-changer in the mobile phone landscape in the country.

The company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Mr Archibald Annan, confirmed that there were plans to launch a new device in the next few weeks but declined to give details of the said device.

“We are working hard around the clock to churn out quality devices to meet the needs of our customers. We are very proud of what we are about to do and working hard towards customer satisfaction,” he said.

Mr Annan added that the new device would run on the upgradable Android 4.0 OS and would come with enhanced music features. Through rlg and Google’s partnership, the new device would be android-powered and targeted mainly at the youth in the country and Africa as a whole.

Indications are that the device will also have customised games among other new things to help reward its patrons.

Checks by the Daily Graphic showed that a television commercial on the device was shot elsewhere on the continent to help give a new look and tell a different story.

The commercial featured the rlg brand ambassadors, R2Bees, other local stars in the music industry, such as D-Black as well as other stars from other African countries, including Vimbai and Babs of the Big Brother Africa fame.
