Young and enterprising highlife musician Kofi B, who appeared on the music scene two decades ago and performed on so many musical platforms in Ghana and beyond, has announced that all is set for the release of his latest album, ‘Odo Nyemra’ featuring Sarkodie and Afiaba Kofi Band soon.
With a silky voice and talent which he described as a special gift from God, Kofi B is set to rock Ghana and the world again with his yet-to-be released album.
Kofi B, who has finished working on his latest album, said he would release it in May this year, and promised to run things in a different dimension this time around.
Apparently, Kofi B is among the few Ghanaian musicians who were working tirelessly to make Ghana’s music industry grow, and believe it or not, he has grown to become a reliable musician, consequently gaining prominence over some other existing musicians.
Kofi B shot his way into the limelight with his solemn and thought-provoking hit song, ‘Mmobrowa’ which made an impact on the music scene.
Some music critics who have had the opportunity to listen to the songs on Kofi B’s latest album thought the album was exceptionally appealing because the messages in the songs related to everyday life.
In a chat Kofi B explained that Ghanaians love highlife music and that is what directed his creative energies, adding that highlife music was all about what the public or music lovers wanted and this motivated him to come out with his latest album.
He told BEATWAVES that his album was ready and that his fans should get ready for yet another inspiring creative work, saying “it is a promise I will keep, expect another great piece of musical work in May this year.”
Kofi, who disclosed that he did not believe in coming out with just any album was optimistic that his style of play, coupled with the fact that most of his songs were fussed with good highlife and traditional rhythms, would take him places.
The lyrics of the album, which are inspiring, were arranged with sensational rhythms, with a fusion of drum beats, base and guitar rhythms felt in the background, making the album a unique one.
Having sung for several years, Kofi has a voice that appeals to all music lovers, not to talk of his lyrics which are really inspirational.
Some of his popular songs include ‘Twa Me Keke’, ‘Mmobrowa’, ‘Aserewa’, ‘Koforidua Flower’s, ‘Sika Dwa’, ‘Belinda’, ‘Akua Ataa’, ‘Yaw Dompreh’, among others.
