A 45-year- old woman, Mrs Eucharia Onuorah has been arraigned before an Isolo Magistrate’s court for allegedly claiming that a young man, Daniel Chile raped her in their Mushin home.
Onuorah, who is facing a one-count charge, was docked before Magistrate Mrs Osho Adebiyi for false accusation after her alleged attempt to lure Chile into having sex with her failed.
The incident was said to have occurred at 8, Dosunmu street Mushin, Lagos where both resides.
Crime Alert gathered that the relationship between Eucharia and Chile were cordial before it went sour because of undisclosed reasons.
On the day the allegation was made, it was learnt that Chile returned home at 2.00pm and the woman who was around suddenly shouted and raised alarm which attracted neighbors who came out to know what has happened
Onuorah was said to have alleged that she was raped by Chile in her apartment and showed neighbors her torn underwear, bra and cloth. Chile who was shocked about the allegation was said to be speechless and could not defend himself.
He only managed to say that he didn’t do it and alleged that the woman has been pestering him severally to have sex with her which he has refused.
However, the matter was reported to the police at the zone D division, Mushin where the parties were invited and interrogated.
It was learnt that during the interrogation, the woman opened up and confessed that she was not actually raped by Chile. When the charge preferred against her by the police was read, the mother of five pleaded not guilty to the charge.. Magistrate, Adebiyi granted her bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The matter was adjourned to April 24, 2013, for trial.
