Prostitute Murdered

A 30-year-old yet-to-be identified commercial sex worker was murdered last Thursday following an argument between her and two persons over payment for her service.

Two suspects have already been taken in by the Odorkor Police in Accra for questioning.

The crime took place at Mangoase, a section of Awoshie, a suburb of Accra, after she was allegedly pushed out of the moving vehicle of the suspects when they were returning her to the point she was picked for night service amidst a heated argument.

The corpse of the deceased was found in the early hours of last Thursday by residents of the neighbourhood where the crime took place on a heap of sand near a drinking spot and a mechanic shop.

The suspects are Kingsford Adufu, 33, driver and David Agbolomo, 23 a mechanic.

Narrating the story to Daily Guide, DSP Emmanuel Osei Agbogah, the Odorkor District Crime Officer said residents of the neighbourhood of the crime scene called the Police around 6:00 am on Thursday April 18, and informed them about the corpse of an unknown female in the area.

Upon examining the body, Police discovered tell-tale marks of violence on the forehead which, according to the police office, suggested she might have been murdered.

A preliminary investigation into the crime supported by the input of two informants led to the arrest of Kingsford Adufu and David Agbolomo.

The deceased was said to have raised the alarm at about 2:00 am on that fateful day but nobody came out to her assistance. Her lifeless body was discovered the following morning by residents who quickly called the Police.

Further details available to the Police had it that the sex worker was hired by suspect Kingsford Adufu for his friend David Agbolomo for the night.

David Agbolomo was said to have rejected the sex worker and therefore asked his friend to take her back where he had brought her from. The two suspects decided to have her dropped.

The sex worker insisted that she was picked to render sexual service and had to be paid even if that did not happen since they had wasted her time.

On their way to where she had been picked the suspects allegedly pushed her out of the moving vehicle.

The Odorkor Police have appealed to members of the public to assist in tracing the relatives of the deceased.
