Aduana Stars’ title challenge and top-four hopes suffered another setback on Sunday after they lost 2-1 to King Faisal in Kumasi.
The Dormaa side have lost their last three matches in the competition which has seen them drop from third place to sixth on the log.
Farouk Mohammed opened the scoring for Faisal after ten minutes but thirty minutes later, Alex Asamoah drew the visitors level.
Both sides finished the opening half one goal apiece.
On resumption of the second half, it took Faisal some 25 minutes before getting a sight of goal as they were awarded a penalty which was converted by George Akowuah to hand them all three points.
Aduana are now 10 points off the summit and three points adrift the fourth-placed team from the top.
In other games, Tema Youth came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Liberty Professionals at the Tema Park.
At the Golden City Park, Berekum Arsenals and Heart of Lions played out a goalless draw match.
