Kwadwo Asamoah has admitted that his form in the second half of the season for Juventus was affected by the Africa Cup of Nations.

The 24-year-old was part of the Ghana side that reached the semi-finals of the competition at the start of 2013.

“I had a lot of problems after coming back from that tournament,” the 24-year-old noted.

“My physical and mental energy was hit.

“However, I’m now returning to my levels and I’m happy.”

Asamoah won the penalty in last night’s 1-0 win over Milan which Arturo Vidal slotted home.

“The penalty changed the game,” he added.

“It was a tough contest, especially in the first half because we didn’t manage to play our usual game.

“We got better after the restart and managed to break the deadlock and record a crucial victory.

“There are still five games left and we want to finish the championship season on a high.

“For me it would be amazing to win the Scudetto, it would be my first and something that’s very important to me.”

Juve need just four points to retain the title.
