Coach David Duncan has praised his Hearts of Oak team – saying they played their best football so far in the 1-0 win over Amidaus Professionals.
The Phobians continued their resurgence in the second-half of the season by securing another vital three points against the Premier League newcomers at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The game was however not played without controversy as two Amidaus players were sent off before Thomas Abbey struck the winner in the 86th minute.
The win sees Hearts climb to 11th in the Ghanaian top flight but coach Duncan was more intrigued with his team’s performance on the field of play.
“They played a fantastic game; so far I rate this game as their best so far,” he said after the game.
“They gave everything, they were tactically disciplined, and they showed a lot of composure.
“There were nervy times but as I directed from the touchlines they kept their cool and played a fantastic game.”
Hearts will now play Liberty Professionals in midweek before taking on rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
