Baba Abdul Rahman’s Greuther Furth were surprise 1-0 winners at Nurenberg to avoid relegation from the German top flight this weekend.

The Ghana defender played the dull duration as midfielder Johannes Geis struck in the 27th minute to secure only the third win for the Cloverleaves all-season-long on Sunday.

This mean’s Frank Kramer’s side’s fight to avoid the drop remains alive at least for another week.

Greuther Furth must now win all their remaining games against Hannover, Stuttgart, Freiburg and Augsburg and hope their closest rivals lose all their games to realize perhaps the biggest relegation escape in football history.
