Despite losing his seat to Mr Ebenezer Okletey Terlarbi, the former Member of Parliament for the Lower Manya constituency has somewhat thrown his weight behind President John Dramani Mahama stating in clear terms that he believes the president can deliver on the job given to him by Ghanaians.

He called on those who have lost hope to renew it since the early hours of Mahama’s tenure has shown that he knows how to handle issues despite the numerous labour agitations that have confronted his administration.

“Hundred days assessment into a four year term is quite serious. You wouldn’t get any objective assessment”, he said.

Touching on the first hundred days assessment of President Mahama, ‘MTN’ as the former MP is known, noted that it was difficult assessing him when he hasn’t even exceeded a year in office.

He stated that for the president to institute a team to work with within his short period, it indicates that he is well versed with the whole process of governance.

He praised President Mahama for showcasing leadership skills needed in a leader as compared to the former late President John Evans Attah Mills.

According to him, unlike the latter’s inability to stamp his authority on issues confronting the nation and beyond, President Mahama has been able to achieve that feat.

He was optimistic President Mahama will succeed in office though his legitimacy is being challenged at the Supreme Court by the NPP.
