John Boye lasted the entire duration in Rennes 1-0 loss to Saint Etienne

Ghana duo John Boye and John Mensah missed out on winning the French League Cup as Rennes lost 1-0 to Saint Etienne in the final on Saturday night.
The Red and Blacks were undone in the 18th minute through a Brandao strike which eventually emerged the match winner in the game played at the Stade de France.
While Boye lasted the entire duration, compatriot John Mensah remained an unused substitute.
Rennes have now lost their sole opportunity to win a major silverware this season with their stuttering domestic form in Ligue 1.
Frederic Antonetti’s side are comfortable in 10th spot in Ligue 1 with no relegation threats but far off a qualification for next season’s Europa League.
