Preparations towards this year’s Ghana Music Awards have reached fever pitch as organizers hit Koforidua for the annual Nominees Jam which ushers in the awards night.
On Saturday, April 20, several Ghanaian A-list music acts will storm the Eastern regional capital to give it a one of a kind party set to shake the foundations of the city of flowers.
On the night, R2Bees, VIP, Kwaw Kese, Eazzy, E.L. Cwesi Oteng, Bisa of ‘Azonto Ghost’ fame, Chris Waddle, Keche and a host of others will take turns to thrill the thousands of music lovers expected to throng the Jackson Park.
Ghana’s finest comedian Funny Face will provide the needed dose of comedy at the jam.
Nii Ayite Hammond, head of Productions at Charterhouse, the event organizers, said in a statement that, ‘Being our very first time in Koftown [Koforidua], we are giving this show our all in all. Patrons should expect the best in technical expertise including sound, lights, screens, and stage simply the best show ever in the history of the East. I can’t describe it because you must be there to experience it.’
The event will, for the first time, see the biggest array of stars hitting Koforidua and organizers say it will be live on GhOne entertainment TV in Accra, Takoradi, Kumasi, and live nationwide on the Multi-TV digibox.
