Sports Journalist Kofi Appiah has emerged as the front runner for the vacant Public and Supporters relations manager role at Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko.

The position has become vacant following the decision to re-assign Listowell Yesu Burkason to the club’s marketing department.

The highly-rated sports analyst is believed to be favourites among the club’s top hierarchy due to his professional conduct, work ethics and excellent human-relation

Appiah, who is an ardent supporter of the Ghanaian League champions, is credited for his great inter-personal relationship, humility and down-to-earth attitude.

He’s hugely regarded as the man who can bridge the gap between the management team and the demanding Kotoko supporters.

The ever-smiling football pundit is believed to have long- nurtured an ambition of speaking for the club and now within touching distance of potentially realizing his dream.

Appiah is a graduate of the country’s premier Journalism University, the Ghana Institute of Journalism.

He will however face stiff competition from Thomas Boakye-Agyemang, who is also in the hunt for the vacant role.
