Thousands of mourners Friday witnessed the burial of the younger brother of  the Group Managing Director, GMD, of the the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Andy Yakubu, late Yohana Lar Yakubu at Unguwan Wakili Village, in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Yohana was kiiled near Idon Village, about 110km South of Kaduna metropolis last Sunday by unknown gunmen while travelling home for a funeral.

“Now that Yohana is gone,” the village women choir sang solemnly, “who is going to take care of our needs? Jesus, please, Jesus, wipe our tears”.

The song was said to have been specially composed for Yohana, who most of mourners said was an uncommon philanthropist.

Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, represented by his Deputy, Ambassador Nuhu Bajoga, lamented that in spite of the huge investment the state was spending on security in the state, not much was being realised in return, promising however, that the evils in the society must be fished out at whatever cost.
