If you haven’t seen a poster on social media that says that Sister Deborah is taking Azonto to the world renowned Glastonbury festival, then listen up. The Azonto global phenomenon will be exported to the festival for the first time and the woman behind is it excited about her performance on June 29.
She reveled to me: “Receiving the email from the organizers at Glastonbury inviting me through the Fokn Bois is the best news I’ve heard this year. Even though I’ve already started preparing; both mentally and sorting out dancers etc, I still can’t believe it. I feel it will finally hit me when I’m back stage waiting to be called. I’m also very happy because I would be introducing Ghana’s beloved dance Azonto to the biggest music festival in the UK. It’s a huge deal… Groups like Swedish House Mafia and The Rolling Stones perform at Glastonbury! So for me being called to perform Uncle Obama on stage that Fokn Bois is headlining is perfectly amazing.”
