Hearts of Oak have denied media reports of receiving an apology from midfielder Laryea Kingston.

The former Ghana international was handed an indefinite suspension for beating up the club’s accountant in January.

Kingston angrily reacted to management’s decision to freeze his monthly salary after going AWOL for two months before the start of the second half of the season.

There were rumours that the former Heart of Midlothian player wanted to grovel for his actions and rejoin the capital club.

But Hearts Spokesperson Muheeb Saeed disclosed that: “We have not received any letter from Laryea so there is nothing.”

Kingston was sacked from the team’s pre-season camp by former coach CK Akunnor for breaking camp rules in Sekondi.

He was later pardoned and joined his teammates after the appointment of new coach David Duncan.
