Swedish striker Henok Goitom has hailed his Ghanaian team-mate Ibrahim Moro as the best player in AIK Stockholm despite their disastrous start to the season.

Goitom insists the Ghanaian player could leave the Swedish league if he continues with the way he has performed so far this season.

The striker was lashing out at his team-mates after they were defeated at home by Malmo in the league game, their second successive defeat.

But the 19-year-old Ghanaian has been a workhorse in the AIK midfield with a strong fighting ability that has taken his team-mates by surprise.

So it was only right that Goitom would reserve praise for the Ghanaian who has proven to be the club’s best buy over the past three years.

“One of the outstanding players of AIK in the match was 19-year-old Ibrahim Moro who played in the inner midfield,” Goitom heaped praise Moro after Wednesday’s 1-1 defeat to Malmo.

“It’s positively crazy how he plays. He has got international class on him. One or two years in AIK he will leave to play to play in the top league of Europe, definitely.

“Ibrahim and I sometimes talk during training sessions on what he can do better. And he can always make things better and he is 19 years old and he has a lot to learn. But he played good as it gets.”

AIK are 14th on the Swedish league table after four round of matches in the season.
