Ghana striker Prince Tagoe scored his first competitive goal for Al Ettifaq in their 1-1 draw at Al Raed in the Saudi Arabian top flight on Thursday.

The 26-yearold opened the scoring in the 31st minute to break his goal duct for The Knight of Ad-Dahna while lasting the entire duration.

Ettifaq were however pegged back early in the second half through Brazilian midfielder Xuxa.

Tagoe has struggled to score in competitive games since returning to the Saudi top flight on a six-month loan deal from Turkish club Bursaspor.

The Ghana international was in blistering form when he first joined in January as he scored four goals in three friendly games for Ettifaq.

The goals however seemed to have dried up for the former Ghana Premier League goal king as he struggled to score in competitive games for his side.

He has however now scored that elusive competitive goal which will hopefully boost his confidence in order to help his side finish well with one game left to end the Pro League season.

Al Ettifaq however remain in contention to qualify from the group stage in the Asian Champions League.
