The Member of Parliament for the Bantama Constitutency, Hon. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, has lauded the 2012 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party for protecting the sovereignty of Ghana ever since the Electoral Commission of Ghana pronounced President Mahama as the President of Ghana.
In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, the Bantama MP disclosed that only few men would have followed the footsteps of Nana Addo in petitioning the courts over electoral disputes.
He explained that Nana Akufo-Addo has shown that the interest of the nation comes first at all times before partisan matters.
Hon. Henry Kwabena Kokofu lauded the petitioners for charting this unprecedented path in the history of Ghana. He stated that the nation has witnessed other African experience severe upheavals due to electoral disputes.
He continued that in pursuant to guard the peace the nation, Nana Akufo-Addo has demonstrated that he believes in using the rightful means to settle a heated dispute.
The NPP MP ended by announcing that he is confident the Supreme Court would convey a transparent verdict after the whole process has been wrapped up.
