Ex-Hearts star Charles Taylor claims his former employers are responsible for his injury woes accusing them of using ‘black magic’ to thwart his career.
Taylor was tipped for greatness when he played an influential role in Hearts’ CAF Champions League success in 2000.
But the decision of the former Great Olympic player to switch camp from Hearts to Kotoko under controversial circumstances in 2003 is highly regarded as the genesis of his problem.
Taylor has never been the same since he left the Kumasi-based side after just a season with troublesome injuries taken the better part of a rather exciting career.
The 31-year-old, who currently plays for Berekum Chelsea has not kicked a ball in over six months as he continues to battle his way from the treatment room.
The ex-Enugu Rangers and Etoile Du Sahel striker claims his former employers are behind his injury predicaments.
“Very soon the names of the persons involved will come out. But I’m telling you that some Hearts people in Kumasi especially went to a ‘juju man’ to place the injury problem on me,” Taylor said.
“The man says he’s unhappy with what they did to me and will do everything possible for me to recover.
“Those people were not happy when I joined Kotoko and so opted to use black magic to destroy my career. “Before I joined Kotoko, I had never suffered an injury before but today look at what is happening to me.
“Those involved will pay for it one day. But for now I’m just focused on recovering,” he said.
The 31-year-old enjoyed a memorable three year spell at the capital-based club where he helped them win many titles including the historic CAF Champions League crown in 2000.
