GLICO Life Insurance Company (GLICO LIFE), a wholly Ghanaian-owned Life insurance business, has trained its new marketing and sales executives to enhance the delivery of insurance products and services on the doorstep of Ghanaians.
A series of training programmes had been organised to equip them with the knowledge and skills to improve their performance in the field and to deliver the best insurance value to the customers. In his opening address at the training programme, the Managing Director of GLICO Life, Mr Edward Forkuo Kyei, welcomed the trainees into the GLICO family and said the training programmes were key to the delivery of excellent services.
A release issued to the press by the Corporate Affairs Department of GLICO Life in Accra said the Managing Director outlined the opportunities and challenges in carrying out their duties and responsibilities as sales and marketing executives and said GLICO Life had succeeded due to dedication and a strong commitment to “cushioning its clients for life” and that they must emulate same. The release emphasised the obligation of GLICO Life in customer service, saying it offered unique products and services to policy holders, who are the vital assets of the business as captured in the theme of the silver anniversary celebration: “25 years together in business: Our customers, our focus”.
Mr Forkuo Kyei reminded the marketing and sales executives that they represented the face of GLICO Life and as such their actions and inaction reflected the status and integrity of the company, the release added.
He urged them to go beyond the normal call of duty to offer service and also endeavour to meet the dire needs and expectations of clients in policy administration. The Southern Sector Agency Manager, Mr Eric Asemnor, said the trainees exhibited a high level of interest and enthusiasm and advised them to channel their zeal into effective customer service, said the release.
The comprehensive programme covered a wide range of topics on the principles and importance of insurance, customer-focused product marketing, approach to operational challenges and claim payments, among others.
