A United States of America based Nigerian business man with American citizenship, Samuel Olatunbosun, has just lost his hard earned 950 Dollars to a Lagos based hotel, Batown Hotel located at Olufemi Ojo Street, Akowonjo Road in Egbeda, Alimosho Local Government Area.
Nigeriafilms.com gathered that that Olatunbosun, who has spent better part of his life in the United States of America, arrived to the soil of the land, Nigeria on April 4th, 2013.Upon his arrival, after spending 18 hours on flight, he had to lodge at Batown Hotel.
While checking in, Olatunbosun’s lawyer told us, was, however, asked by the management of the hotel to hand over all his personal belongings for keeps simply for security reason best known to the hotel. Olatunbosun, was said to have complied with the rule and he released his 150 thousand naira and 200 dollars all totaling 950 dollars to one Sikiru Salami, who happened to be the accountant of the hotel while he kept his America International Passport with Nelson, the hotel manager.
However, the following day, in an attempt by Olatunbosun to use part of the money then it was discovered to his chagrin that he has been cleverly duped of his hard earned money. Information reaching us revealed that Olatunbosun waited for five days in the hotel for the management to return his money and his other belongings but all to no avail.
His America International passport was later returned with flimsy excuses that the accountant was ill, while his cohort, manager was not on duty. Unknown to the management, Olatunbosun, has already swung into action investigating the matter. The two culprits were reportedly showed up and picked by Anti Robbery Squad men when Olatunbosun tricked them that he would settle with them once they show up from their hideout. The duo who came out with 30 thousand naira to plead for their uncanny act are now cooling off at Kirikiri Maximum Prison, Apapa, Lagos.
When probed Olatunbosun on the case, he said, “I m ready to let go once they refund my money, I even talked to the hotel owner, Chief Sam, who said I have to sign a bond for him to refund my money which is unreasonable to the case at hand.”
Miffed by this development, in its usual style Nigeriafilms.com contacted the owner of the hospitality haven for his own side of the story and he blasted this reporter and said, “look here my friend, I don’t give a hoot about whatever you want to write, I want to pay this man back out of my magnanimity, if you think you can rubbish me with your write up, you have failed, I have handled your type before….” and the phone went off.
