Accra, April 18, GNA – The atmosphere at the Supreme Court on Thursday, the third day of hearing of the election petition, was calm with social activities going on smoothly.
The Ghana News Agency observed that the police personnel were as usual at post ensuring that pedestrians would observe order.
They had also mounted barricades on the pavement that stretched from the Old Parliament House to the main entrance of the Supreme Court premises.
Some of the personnel were seen on top of their vehicles, while others were spotted screening people entering the court premises such as the staff of the Judicial Service, journalists, Legal Practitioners and other private individuals.
The GNA also observed that though there was heavy vehicular traffic on the street near the court premises, police personnel were posted at specific points to ensure an orderly and smooth flow of traffic.
