Boko Haram: Be courageous, fearless, Army urges Kano residents

KANO – The Brigade Commander, 3 Motorized Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Bukavu Barrack, Kano has urged  residents to openly rebel against those he tagged “terrorist elements” whenever they choose to attack.

Brigade Commander Iliyasu Abba who gave the charge Thursday morning while conducting the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero round the scene of a blast Wednesday night, noted that “this is the time to demonstrate courage in the face of naked terror to assist the security agencies overcome the challenges posed by the terrorists in our midst”

He said that state policing was the responsibility of all citizen and charged the people to demonstrate fearlessness in containing the activities of the sect.

Abba commended the residents of the area for moving against bombers Wednesday evening, adding that “that singular action is a pointer that Kano is no longer a safe haven for terrorist activities.”

Reacting, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero tasked the people to intensify their prayers for divine intervention, stressing that “we shall overcome this challenges through prayers.”
