APC ‘ll overcome obstacles, says Anambra ANPP chairman

BY VINCENT UJUMADU

AWKA—Anambra State chairman of All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, Chief Pat Orjiakor, has advised politicians opposed to the existence of the proposed mega party, All Progressives Congress, APC, to desist from doing so.

He also assured that APC would overcome every obstacle on its way to form the next federal government to give Nigerians good governance.

Speaking in an interview in Awka, Orjiakor said machinery had already been set in motion to ensure that APC formed the government in all the five South East states, adding that it was the only way the people of the zone could become part of the country’s mainstream politics.

According to him, APC has become a mass movement, and those planning to ensure it does not see the light of day are only wasting their time.

He said the people of the South East had realised the need to be part of the decision–making at all levels, adding that APC would give them that opportunity.

He said: “APC is not only a party, but a mass movement. Some people, especially members of PDP have been working against its registration, but I believe they are wasting their time.

“This party has come to rescue the masses of this country from pains, suffering, agony and bondage PDP had plunged them into for the past years and anybody who tries to stop it will incur the rage of God.

“With APC, Igbos can attain any political height in this country. We have tried other political parties and Ndigbo have not been given their due positions, but with APC which is an amalgam of ACN, ANPP, CPC, and partly APGA, it means that our interests will be properly protected.”
