His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama has sent a personal message to American President, Barack Obama and victims of Boston Marathon for the unfortunate twin bombing which forced doctors to perform amputations just to save lives.
The President on his Facebook wall said “I have sent a personal letter to my brother, President Obama, sympathising with him, the US Government and its people following yesterday’s explosion in Boston during the Boston Marathon.
“..Ghana reiterates its condemnation of all acts that bear the hallmarks of terrorism, as such acts can have no justification for whatever cause the perpetrators seek to espouse,” he posted.
The first of the explosions went off close to the marathon finish line on Monday, in seconds later, as rescuers were rushing to help the injured, another explosion went off nearby.
Three people, including an eight-year-old boy waiting at the finish line to give his father a hug, were killed, while at least 17 people are reported to be in a critical condition. 144 are also seriously injured.
