Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is another step closer to clinching the Italian league title after his club Juventus brushed Lazio aside 2-0 this week.

Juventus moved a step closer to a successful defence of their Serie A title with the win which opens up an 11-point lead at the top of Serie A with six games left.

Juve maintained its march to a 29th Serie A title with Arturo Vidal scoring both goals to end his drought as Asamoah played the entire duration of the game.

Vidal opened the scoring after just eight minutes, converting from the penalty spot after Lorik Cana brought down Claudio Marchisio.

The Chile international hadn’t scored since November, but doubled his tally in the 28th.

As it stands, Juventus can clinch the title on May 5, at home to Palermo.

Asamoah will be eyeing his first Italian league title if they manage to clinch their expected title success.
