Accra, April 13, GNA – Wish Foundation (WF), a Non Governmental Organization, would be launched on May 9 with the aim of raising funds to assist women and children who been affected by domestic violence.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Mrs Asha Adowa Abrefi Hoggar, President of WF, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Friday.
The statement said ‘helping hands is our motto and spells out exactly what the foundation has been set to do which includes the provision of emotional, social and psychological assistance through programmes that empower women’.
It said the foundation aims to help eradicate all forms of violence against women through educational programs and working with like minded organisations and initiatives.
‘Expected at launch will be state officials, representatives of international agencies working in the interest of women, DOVVSU, FIDA’ it said
