Tripartite Committee Meet To Decide New Minimum Wage

XYZ Business has learnt that the National tripartite Committee is locked up in a meeting to decide on a new minimum wage.

Last year government increased the minimum wage by 20 percent.

It increased from 3 Cedis 73 Pesewas to 4 Cedis 48 Pesewas.

Ahead of the meeting the Ghana Trades Union Congress has hinted that it will push for a significant increase to cushion workers following the hikes in prices of petroleum products.

The Ghana Federation of Labour is however asking organized labour to tread cautiously.
